In principle, we could buy homes for our owner associations anywhere in the world. However, there are continents and countries where it doesn't make as much sense to buy holiday homes. The homes are primarily located in cities and destinations that can be used almost year-round, and where you won't run out of opportunities for exciting experiences in the first few years. Therefore, the homes are primarily in Europe, with New York being the only exception so far. We stay away from countries with economic and religious instability or fragility.
It's a big responsibility to find and build 5 dream homes for the families in our owner associations. Fortunately, we're nerdy enthusiasts and love the feeling of finding and creating the perfect home.
It's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack, and there is an almost peaceful feeling in the body when the right home is found. However, this feeling is quickly replaced by anxiety and a new sense of frustration as we wonder if we will actually get it.
Most negotiations fortunately end with us getting the homes we want, but sometimes it doesn't work out. Sometimes the seller wants too much, and other times we discover something fundamentally wrong with either the building or the land. We investigate as much as we can before buying to minimize unpleasant surprises after the purchase.

Laila and Lars are responsible for finding all the homes for all of our owner associations, and they also join our construction and design teams in the process of renovating and finally furnishing the homes.
They have found, purchased, renovated, and furnished several hundred unique and individual homes, and have gained truly exceptional experience in finding and creating dream homes for our owner association.
Each time they purchase a home for an owner association, they have often visited 20-25 homes during the process. Over the years, they have seen many homes abroad, building a unique knowledge base that greatly benefits the families in our new owner association. They have developed a strong network of local partners in all destinations who regularly send potential properties to Laila and Lars. As a result, they are well informed about the supply of homes in our destinations.
We have found that by finding homes in need of renovation, we can achieve the best results for our families. Our owner associations not only get the best homes for their vacations, but often experience significant appreciation in value.
No one has more experience in this field than Laila and Lars, and they are, in all modesty, exceptionally skilled at it - so skilled that we jokingly refer to them as the European champions of buying homes abroad.
